May be something to do with it installing and using DirectX9.0 .... but it loads up, and then just becomes very jerky.
The music jumps, and the mouse pointer moves only periodically (ie doesnt scroll).

Other 3D games work fine, as my system is only a year or so old, which is why I assume its maybe a driver thing since installing
DX9...

Graphics card is an on board 64mb SiS 650
I tried to get hold of a more recent driver for it, but the SiS website seems to be down/extinct.

Anyone else having probs with Worms3D?

Any info appreciated

I'm still waiting for Worms3D to arrive at my local shops...

DX9...
What other 3D games are you comparing with?
It's a sad fact, but a video card is considered out-dated after about 6
months... You should compare your system's spec against the recommended
spec. See if your chip is supported or not.

This link works for me: http://download.sis.com/index1.htm

Btw, after seeing those screenshots of Worms3D, I would think it would
impose a very heavy workload on the video card... an on-board chip is
probably not enough.

It's worth the wait!

My card isnt listed in the tried and tested list given in the readme file, but is listed as 'not tried' and 'may not be compatible'.

Yep working now, the site must have just been down for a while when I tried.
DLd and installed the latest drivers, and all is working fine now.
Seems that when I installed directX9.0, my previous drivers openGL software wasnt compatible, and as a result there was no 3D
acceleration, so it was running the game purely on software acceleration.

Well, now its running the game, its surprisingly slick and smooth. Running at 800x600 res with 32bit colour, and no problems. Game
is great btw!

Thanks for help/advice

it's most likely a DX9 conflict with your vidoe cards driver. I Hvae the
same problem with Sim City 4. tr getting a new videocard, and disabeling the
old onboard one in your systms bios configuartion. I recomend Nvidia.. there
really cheap. and pretty damn good.
