Solution for problems starting Worms World Party (WWP)

I had the problem of beeing throwed back to the windows desktop after
starting Worms World Party (WWP). I saw the two logos and then the
three worms with the music in the background. After that, the program
closed without any message.

PC: Pentium 4
OS: XP Professional
WWP: SP1 and non-patched

Solution: One codec from "nimos codec pack" must have been the
problem. After deinstalling the pack (build 7), everything works fine
again.

It took me two days to find the problem, so maybe someone is
interested in the solution, too :-)

the prob is XP.. right click the WWP icon and select properties. then clickj
the compatability tab... in the drop down box click win 98/Me compatability.
that might help.
